ASHG 2020 COVID-19 Late-Breaking Abstract Submission

Submission Deadline: Friday, September 18, 2020 at 1:00 PM Eastern Time.

Edit & Withdrawal Deadline: Monday, September 21, at 8:00 AM Eastern Time.

ASHG is now accepting late-breaking abstract submissions for the ASHG 2020 Virtual Meeting.This year for the late breaking session we only welcome abstracts related to the genetics of COVID-19 disease and/or the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). Up to six abstracts will be selected for a special plenary session. All other submitted late-breaking abstracts will be programmed into one of the poster sessions.

Notifications for late-breaking abstracts will be sent by October 5. If selected, you will present in the ASHG virtual platform on October 28 in the 5:30-7:00 pm US Eastern Time Late-Breaking Abstract session.

An individual may be first/presenting author of only one abstract. The presenting author’s name should be the first name to appear in the author listing. There is no limit to the number of times an individual may appear as a co-author on additional, unique submissions.

To edit your abstract after submission,

1.    Click "All" under "My Submissions" on the left-hand side bar,

2.    Select "Edit" on the row listing the title of your abstract

To withdraw an abstract, email programs@ashg.org with your name, email, and the title of your abstract.

Do not use your browser's "back" button to review your answers before submitting; use the "prev" and "next" buttons on the bottom of each page. Abstracts are published exactly as submitted; please review them carefully before finalizing your submission.

Abstracts selected for presentation will be available on October 5, 2020. The meeting website will include a searchable program and an individualized meeting itinerary planner after the abstracts have been posted online.

All late-breaking abstracts being presented at the ASHG 2020 Annual Meeting will be embargoed until October 5th.  Please review the Embargo Guidelines and Abstract Licensing Agreement/Copyright Policy for more information.

You will be prompted to log into your ASHG Portal account to access the submission form. This is the same login if you have recently joined/renewed as an ASHG member. If you forgot your password, reset your ASHG Portal password. Please note: your username is the email address associated with your membership. Upon login, you will be asked to give the nomination system permission to access your ASHG account information.
